Glee-Q: hot or not?

Cory Looks hot here, diana is ok, lea michelle... err... no comment
I've been a follower of Glee since the first season, and I still am (although I may be viewing the episodes a little later than the certified GLEEKS around the globe).

The show has been well received from all over the world because of the plot which revolves in a high school - where all the what nots begin; the very dynamic set of characters - to which almost every person (young and old) in this planet can relate to; the very catchy musical/vocal arrangements of the songs they use (which most importantly is very congruent to whatever the situation there is in a particular scene.

They've been doing well even in season 2 until....

 Lea Michele does sexy

These photos were shot and published and posted.  Yeah it made noise for both the characters and the show, and the parents too! LOL!  But really, I don't think that posing like these is necessary.  No, I am not against Lea Michelle or Diana or Cory.  Just so I make it clear, I have nothing against them.  It's just that their poses aren't well thought of.  It didn't bring any class nor elegance.  It wasn't flattering at all to them, most especially to Lea Michelle.  It's okay for them to do sexy poses, but I guess they should've sat down a little more to work on the concept of the shoot so as not to put these actors in the wrong light.  I believe there is a way to work on their poses that would actually say: ELEGANTLY SEXY, and not CHEAPLY SEXY.

Oh well, I believe the most damaged reputation here is Lea Michelle's because her poses are the worst.  Just saying.  Diana's was on the mid-range.  She looks pretty, but not sexy.  Cory?  Well, he definitely looks hot here and he's clothed, so nothing much to say about that.

SO NOT HOT AT ALL - sorry..

my new CHUCKNER straight from the USA!

So, I have a final paper due in 3 days!  And I'm only halfway through!  Darn!  I was supposed to finish it today but I just couldn't... :(  My allergy is killing the hell out of me!  I got runny nose the whole day, droopy watery eyes, and the icky fluids just kept on flowing out of my nose!  AGGGGH!!!!! *aaaaachoooo!!!!!*

WELL, my day isn't so bad at all.  I headed out to my friend's optical clinic in Panay Avenue.  My friend is actually in the US of A now.  She's been working there as an optometrist for almost 2 years already.  I got a message from her brother a day ago, saying that there's a goodie bag waiting for me at the clinic.  My dear friend sent a balikbayan box for friends and family a couple of weeks ago, so there.

I was delighted to know that she actually did send me something :)  Doesn't really matter whatever the item is, but just the thought of being remembered and being part of her pasalubong list really touched me :)

Anyhoo, so I went to the clinic, and was greeted by her aunt.  Then the aunt handed me a brown box... TADAAAAAA!!!!!

Ain't her gift A-MA-ZING?!?!!?!?!!! :) I soooooooooo love it!!!!   What touched me most is her message.  Really short but truly meaningful!  My friends has always been supportive and really believes in my capabilities.  I can say that she has high hopes in me :)

Ah... She's so the sister that I never had!

So, i rode a cab and went to my next destination.  The cab driver was pretty engaging.  He talked to me about his life, his past, his present... well, it was actually a good talk.  I'll share what we talked about probably on my next article :)

Anyhoo,  a cab ride and a Mocha Frappe after, I went home.  Soon as I reached my room, I took pictures of my new travel buddy, and... tried it on.

YAY!!!! A PERFECT FIT!

Can't wait for my next adventure, this time wearing my new CHUCKNER! :)

Here's a photo of my ex-Chuckner.. well it still is my Chuckner and will still be my Chuckner as long as it's not yet worn out :))  Bwaha!

Don't you guys just love Chuck Taylors???? :) How many pairs do you have and what colors?

Awesomely,
Chic ;-)

Zong...ing in Paseo de Sta. Rosa

So, a couple of weeks ago, my family and I went on a small trip down south - Paseo de Sta. Rosa.  It's a commercial compound where you'll find really nice restos and boutiques.  What's so great about the place is that it's not crowded and that its open-air design (it is like a spanish courtyard) allows the breeze from Tagaytay relax you as you shop or dine.

It really wasn't our first time there.  So I can actually say a few words about the place.

This place could be a shopping haven for some, because it houses a number of outlet stores!!!!!  Yes, these outlet stores have merchandises on sale all year round!

There are some other regular stores like:

And of course, everybody's favorite ---> Restos/Fastfood chains (just to name a few):

Well, I've only named a few stores.  These are by far the ones I remember most coz we have actually eaten a couple of times at these joints.

But since, we wanted to try out something new, we actually have found a new resto sitting very near the Marks & Spencer outlet store.  It is called Zong.

The interiors are really neat and very minimal.  Food is actually good.  Asian.  We had:

Lemon Chicken @ Php 228

Hot Prawn Salad @ Php 328
(my fave! pretty close to Gloria Maris' version)

Yang Chow Fried Rice @ Php 258

Of course, we took advantage of the House Tea
(in all fairness, theirs taste good compared to other chinese restos)

Obviously, the price is very reasonable.  So... we left with smiles on our tummy and faces :)

Oh did I mention that they have really nice and friendly staff?
Well, if you guys are en route to Tagaytay, or just heading south, I suggest you take a stroll at the Paseo de Sta. Rosa and have a nice chillaxin' stop over.  :)

Remembering my FIRST plane ride!

Here are photos of my VERY FIRST PLANE RIDE!  :)  Year 2007!!!  Yes I was already in my 20s when i had my first plane ride! hahaha!

It was a local flight and I was on official business.  Well, it's a good thing that I'm travelling with a boss from another department, but the thing is, he's really not my boss, and the very first time I'll meet him is on the day of our flight to Cagayan De Oro

You could just imagine my excitement and nervousness for that trip!

Well, of course he doesn't know that it was my first time to fly.  LOL!!! :))  I was too shy and embarassed to tell him!  Hahaha!  And so when we met, he led me to the airport counter and the whole checking in procedure.  If it weren't for him, I would probably looked like an idiot going about the airport procedure!

When we were about to take off, I was constantly praying to God for Him to keep our flight safe and that I didn't want to die yet coz I still experienced a lot of things like getting married and raising a family!!!!  HAhahahaha!!! I know, crazy right?  But what to do!  I was a bit scared that the plane might jerk around thousands of feet above the ground!

Now speaking of first... I think I'm gonna have to write about my other FIRSTS next time :)

the NERD in me

Yes!  I have recently discovered that I have the NERD in me!  Thanks a whole bunch to Chuck Bartowski and the rest of the Buy More nerds! :)

OH how i sooooooper doooooper love watching CHUCK!  There's something about Chuck Bartowski that I just can't get enough of.  Well aside from him looking hot in a dorky way, he is such a sweetheart - not only to Sarah Walker, but also to his sis and his bestbud Morgan.

Well, since I couldn't get hold of the schedule of the series here in the Philippines, I don't get to watch it religously - meaning i miss loads of episodes!  :(  Booooo, i know!  Thanks to the amazing force of the internet coz I get to watch Seasons 1 to 3 online - no commercial breaks & in just 2 weeks!  FTW!!!!!

And now, I am so updated!  I watch Season 4 online too - every week!  Yeba!!!!  Updated to the highest level! :)

Yes I am such a fan, and a nerd indeed!  I actually want to buy the NERD merchandise (they got shirts for now, but they'll have more in the coming weeks) via Zachary Levi's website - www.thenerdmachine.com

If only I have my credit card!  Gah!!!!  Worry not, I'll have one soon. ;)  And soon, I shall be ready to invade the universe with all my fellow nerdherders!  Twooosh!

CHUCK Season 4 clip

Oh, and most importantly, I love Chuck because of the reeeeally cool and very down to earth cast.  Here's proof!
